SuRIA Home is a Government cash-back of up to RM3,000 handed to Malaysian homeowners who fit rooftop solar under the Solar ATAP scheme and have it commissioned with TNB before 31 December 2026. What does the rebate pay out?
You collect RM600 for every 1 kWac of declared installed capacity, capped at RM3,000. A 5 kWac system reaches the full RM3,000, and anything larger still receives the RM3,000 maximum.
Who can claim?
You're in if you're a Malaysian citizen holding an individual TNB Domestic Tariff account (not a business), your Solar ATAP system is commissioned with TNB by 31 December 2026, and you've never taken a SolaRIS cash rebate. One claim per customer.
Where does the money come from?
Straight from TNB into the registered customer's own local bank account, within seven working days of verification. We install your system and guide the claim — we never pay or collect the rebate for you.
What's the deadline?
It's first-come, first-served and closes on 31 December 2026, or as soon as the RM150 million national pot runs dry — whichever comes first. Claiming early is the safe move.
How does the total reach RM7,000?
By stacking two separate rebates: the RM3,000 government SuRIA Home rebate (RM600 per kWac, capped at RM3,000, paid by TNB) and the up to RM4,000 Astern Technologies extra. RM3,000 + RM4,000 = RM7,000.
